Barış Manço (January 2, 1943 – February 1, 1999) was an influential Turkish musician, composer, television personality, and cultural ambassador, widely recognized as a pioneer of modern Turkish music and a key founder of the Anatolian Rock genre. Over his career, Manço composed more than 200 songs, earning twelve gold and one platinum record certification.
