He was born in Zulfi Governorate and grew up in a conservative environment. In his childhood, he began playing the lute and recording songs. His artistic debut was through the song Sikka Safar album in 1982 with Dun Dawn Art Production. The song Sikka Safar was composed by the late Rashid Al-Khidr and written by Abdul Latif Al-Bannai. He has in his artistic balance today more than 26 albums during his artistic career since 1980. He also owns the Tarban Studio for Lyrical Records and the Tarban Studio, which he opened on January 18, 2009 in the Jabriya area.
