Burak Kaplan was born in Izmir, Turkey. He completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Business Administration at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2008. Subsequently, he earned a Master’s degree in Cinema-TV from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2012 and a PhD in Cinema from Beykent University in 2018. He has contributed film reviews, hosted programs, and conducted interviews for various media outlets. In 2012, he began his academic career on the faculty of Istanbul Okan University's School of Art, Design, and Architecture.
