600,000 Koreans could not return from Japan after the liberation in 1950. Their children were born and they grew up facing discrimination in Japan. Once grown, they chose to study abroad in their motherland, South Korea. But what they face in Korea was illegal arrests and tortures. In 1970s, they were “made” as spies by Korean government.
