Lapataganj

Mamaji sits with his gang in Suttilals shop and has a gala time. They all praise him for making them laugh. Then Mamaji tells them stories about his father how he also used to make everyone laugh.

This time it is Lallanjis cycle that gets stolen. Bindumati witnesses it and informs Lallanji about it. He gets shocked as for how can someone steal his cycle. On the contrary, Indu finds a cycle in her porch. What is the matter?

Indumati decorates the cycle as she is happy to get it back. But Bindumati claims that it is their cycle. Mishri supports Indumati as she knows it is their cycle. Everyone asks the stranger to tell the truth.

Chotu along with a friend go to meet Shanti who they refer to as a sanyasi. Chotu wants to attain sanyas and gain peace, when he returns home, Mishri mausi is shocked at his behaviour.

Mukundi comes back home from the office and relaxes until Mishri comes running asking for help. She is concerned as Chotu is not behaving normally. Mishri starts being superstitious.

Mamaji decides to take renunciation and calls up a local meeting with the villagers. Everyone starts getting irritated as he is protesting for everyone to follow his path.

People of Lapataganj are shocked looking at Chotu trying to be a sanyaasi. Elija and the others also follow Chotu's steps in becoming a sanyaasi.

Chotu, Elija, and two other villagers, have finally thought of going to a sacred place, out of daily life. Mishri starts to panic and goes out of control. Mukundi has lost all hope in Mamaji.

Shanti Lal and his wife arrive in Lapataganj. Chotu fails to recognize Shanti Lal. The people of Lapataganj celebrate Lohri with Shanti Lal and his wife.

There is a free medical camp happening in Lapataganj. Mishri takes Surili with her to visit the doctor at the camp. The doctor informs them that Surili is likely to get her voice back.

Mishri mausi wins a prize. Mukundi spots Pappu and Guddu going for a movie. Guddu visits Mishri mausi's house. Suttilal gets worried seeing Radhe walk towards his stall.

A sewing machine vendor comes to Lapataganj selling his company's products and Elija seems interested. Chotu goes to collect Mishri's money but doesn't get it. Radhe again visits Suttilal.

Guddu visits Chotu in Lapataganj. Guddu meets Surili and spends time with her. Pappu gets excited as he learns that Surili might get her voice back.

Lallan and Mukundi fall off the cycle. Chotu, yet again, leaves the office without getting Mishri mausi's money and meets the minister regarding the same.

Mishri mausi along with the people of Lapataganj, visits the officer who has to give them money. Mausi gets a call from the nurse saying they will prepare for Surili's operation.

Mishri starts crying as she tells her fellow villagers that she needs one lakh rupees to get Sureeli operated for her to speak again. People in Lapataganj decide to contribute as much as they can for Sureeli's operation.

People in Lapataganj try their best to raise money for Sureeli's operation. After learning that the money has to be deposited in the hospital within a week, Sureeli loses all hope.

Chotu mama tells Elija that he is planning to rob someone in order to raise money for Sureeli's operation. In the night, both of them mug Lallan after his salary day.

Mishri beats Chotu up after she learns that he was the one to mug Lallan. Elija explains the reason behind Chotu's wrongdoing which makes everyone in Lapataganj emotional.

Mishri apologizes to Chotu for hurting him. Kundan Singh Kushwaha challenges Pappu openly in front of everyone and announces a fight after three days in Lapataganj.

Mukundi's father arrives in Lapataganj to give Pappu tips for how to fight. After a lot of bargain, he starts training Pappu for the fight.

Pappu suffers various injuries and pain while training for the fight. The day of the fight arrives, and everyone in Lapataganj roots for Pappu and motivates him.

Kundan Singh and Pappu begin their fight with the wooden strip and it is a close competition. In the process, Pappu gets hurt terribly and starts bleeding.

As Pappu defeats Kundan Singh, the entire village of Lapataganj jumps with joy and excitement. Sureeli and her family then leave for Lucknow to get her operated.

Sureeli is admitted to the hospital and soon taken to the operation theatre. After the operation, the doctor tells the family that Sureeli will begin to talk, but gradually.

People in Lapataganj celebrate the happiness of Sureeli's successful operation. Mishri is so happy with Pappu that she allows him to move into their house and live with them.

Pappu is on cloud nine when he gets to spend time with Sureeli. Mishri opposes Pappu romancing Sureeli and stops him every time he touches Sureeli.

A few people, while digging up a spot in Lapataganj, find an ancient statue. When an archeologist comes and examines the statue, it is found to be of great importance.

In order to find the missing part of the statue, the archeologist plans to dig Mukundi's house up. Mukundi and Indu become homeless as all their belongings are removed from their house.

S01E530

Mukundi overhears the labours talk about how Mr. Chedi has been getting random places dug for years. Pappu acts friendly with Mr. Chedi to get the truth out from him.

After Mr. Chedi finds the missing part, he is on cloud nine. Pappu calls the media in Lapataganj to cover this story.

Mukundi and Indu are relieved to be finally back in their house and live every moment. As Indu's mother is ill, Indu goes to visit her for two days.

After Mircha trips and falls unconscious, a doctor comes to check her up. Once she wakes up, she seems to have forgotten everything and starts acting like a kid.

People in Lapataganj try to get Mircha's memory back by reminding her of various things. Elija takes advantage of the situation and romances her sister. Rani.

Mircha plays around with all the kids in Lapataganj. The cops feel that Suttilal have been troubling Mircha and arrest him.

People in Lapataganj blame Chotu mama for Mircha and Suttilals condition. They then go to the police station to get Suttilal out of the lock up.

Chotu is filled with remorse and decides to take care of Mircha. While playing, Mircha faints and when she wakes up, she regains her memory.

Suttilal distributes sweets in Lapataganj in the joy of Mircha regaining her memory. Pappu is scared seeing Sureeli and wonders what he would do if she loses her memory.

Mishri asks Sureeli and Pappu to maintain distance. She then adds that Sureeli cannot live with Pappu unless her father comes and visits them.

Pappu and Guddu cover themselves and enter Mishris house with an intention to kidnap Sureeli. Mishri and other villagers are worried as Sureeli is nowhere to be seen.

The cops come to Lapataganj and investigate everyone closely to find out who is responsible for Sureeli's abduction. Sureeli is kept in a secluded room with her mouth and hands tied.

Pappu covers his face and changes his voice while feeding Sureeli. Pappu and Guddu are nervous seeing how big of a deal Sureeli's abduction has become.

Mishri and other villagers try and do the best they can in order to get Sureeli back. Sureeli is stunned to see that Pappu is the one who kidnapped her.

S01E545

Seeing the people in Lapataganj worry about Sureeli, Pappu is filled with remorse. All of them are taken aback when he tells them that he had kidnapped Sureeli but now he has lost her.

Pappu attempts to hang himself in front of the people of Lapataganj as he is unable to take the pain. As soon as he tries to do it, he sees Sureeli and stops.

Indu is extremely happy after Bhagyalaxmi tells her that she has won an essay competition in her school. Indu goes around the village praising her daughter.

Mukundi hides the fact that Bhagyalaxmis real parent shad come to take her. When Mukundi meets her real parents, he is stunned after seeing the evidence they have to show.

When Mukundi finally reveals the truth to Indu, she is devastated. She cries all day thinking about having a life without Bhagyalaxmi.

Everyone in Lapataganj come together to celebrate Bhagyalaxmi's birthday and her last day with them. Indu and Mukundi bid her a farewell with a heavy heart.

Chukundi refuses to eat unless he sees Bhagaylaxmi. After talking to Indu, Mukundi realizes that there has been a distortion of facts and reports it to the policeman immediately.

Indu and Mukundi along with the policemen track down Bhagyalaxmi and the cops arrest her fake parents. People in Lapataganj are extremely happy to see Bhagyalaxmi back in their village.

Lallan tells Bindu how desperately he wants a promotion as he might not get one for the next two years.

Lallan faints when he learns that he has received a mixer grinder as a consolation prize. People in Lapataganj stand in a queue in front of Bindu's house to get various items grinded.

S01E556

A bank person comes to Lapataganj to give the notice. But he forgets the route Mishri told him and lands up in front of Lallanji's house. Lallanji misunderstands Mishri and does not stop yelling.

Indu and Bindu have kept everything ready and are waiting for the men to come and then start the ceremony. But the men return with bad news. What is the bad news?

Finally, it is the day when Lallanji gets promoted and Mamaji brings the good news to Mishri. Lallanji invites everyone for celebrations.

Mamaji gets up in the morning and leaves for a cup of tea with his friends. But instead, Mishri gets him the tea. He denies it as he wants to have it with his best friend, Elija and have some fun.

Mamaji has become self-obsessed and has firmly decided that he will get married for the third time. Mishri is unhappy with this decision and warns him to think all over again.

A family comes to meet Mamaji and Mishri for Mamaji's marriage. Mamaji is very excited to see the girl and as soon as he sees her, he is mind-blown and wants to get married immediately.

Mamaji loses his calm when he gets to know that the girl denied for marriage. He meets the girl's uncle who gives him the bitter truth that he is not a match for his niece.

Mamaji dreams about him and Chutki romancing and spending the best time. Everybody gets ready for the function, the next morning. They all keep waiting for the bride's side people to come, but no one turns up.

Mukundi and Mamaji spy on the people who denied for the marriage. They want to catch them and make them learn a lesson for whatever they did. With smartness, they plan a plot to get a hold of them.

Mishri and Indumati are having a gala time with each other as they talk about Mamaji. They start laughing when they discuss if Mamaji still wants to get married.

Everyone is busy doing some or the other work in Lapataganj and suddenly Chukundi faints. Indumati starts crying and panics. What happened to Chukundi?

S01E568

Elija and Mamaji are collecting donation money from people to make an umbrella for Hanuman Ji. Mukundi, on the other hand, prays for the betterment of childen and their education in Lapataganj.

Mukundi comes running back home with good news. He tells Chukundi and Indu that he will now be able to go back to school. This happened as Mamaji helped him by giving all the donation money.

Lapatagnaj residents get excited when they see Bittoo Boss. Initially none recognised him, but later everyone started appraising them.

Mamaji makes Elija run a long way and he gets tired. Elija pleads him to stop, but he keeps running and asks him to run as well, as it good for the health and mind.

S01E573

Mukundi is having a leisure when he suddenly remembers that he forgot to get ornaments for Indumati. When Indumati asks him about those earrings, he fails to reply.

Indumati is still angry with Mukundi and is not talking to him. Mukundi tries to woo her and uplift her mood, but it is a waste. A person comes with a hidden camera and records Mukundi and Indu's conversations.

Mukundi is against the builder's tactic of buying Lapataganj. So the builder abducts Mukundi and Churma Bhopali goes home in his place.

Churma struggles to play it cool at home and office. Indu is elated to find the earrings and doubts about Mukundi's indifferent behaviour.

Churma's push up challenge leaves the whole village stunned. Guddu's father breaks down in front of Churma asking for his money back.

The villagers one by one agree to sell off their lands. Mukundi gets caught once again while trying to escape. Pickpocketer at the theatre threatens the villagers.

Churma fights with the pickpockets and rescue back their lost money. Mukundi finally hears about his look-alike at Lapataganj. The whole village catches hold of Churma, who is trying to run away.

The villagers celebrate Mukundi's birthday by presenting Churma with different unique gifts. Mukundi, on the other hand, gets a cake from Govardhan.

Churma brings the legal papers for their land. Lapataganj residents start dreaming about their better future. Govardhan tells Mukundi about the changing story of Lapataganj.

The villagers are about to sign the papers, when Mukundi enters and exposes Govardhan. Churma makes a dynamic entry.

Mukundi and Churma tell their story and impress the residents of Lapataganj, but only Indu is able to recognise the real Mukundi. Elija wishes he too can have a wife like Chotu did.

Elija is missing Rani but Mircha is still not agreeing to marry them off. Elija with help of his neighbours attempts to pursue Mircha.

Mircha is infuriated with Elija's failed attempts and it only gets worse. Chameli arrives with her friend, Gujaria and Lallan is having sleepless nights.

Lallan is terrified with Gujaria and feels that Chameli is also helping her. He wishes that Gujaria gets married to Elija.

Gujaria's unique way astonishes the Lapataganj residents. Elija has suddenly attained a fame and lot of customers arrive at his shop. Gujaria calls Elija for lunch and Chotu also joins in.

Mircha and Lallan fight over feeding Elija for lunch. Finally, Lallan tells the villagers about Gujaria's reality and that Elija is a government recognised tailor.

Mukundi needs to buy a new cycle but is comptemplating it. Bhagyalaxmi announces that Chukundi got selected in a recitation competition.

Chukundi is keeping away the change he should return back. Chotu and Chukundi compete on instant rhymes. Pappu plots against Chotu's love story.

Mukundi is tensed to find money in Chukundi's pocket. Chukundi wins the competition and brings laddoo for his family.

Chukundi starts sweating when Mukundi asks him what he was doing near the lottery man. Mukundi learns that Chukundi has received a thousand rupees from the minister.

Mukundi is so angry that he pushes Chukundi out of the house. The people in Lapataganj are shocked to hear that Chukundi has started gambling.

Chotu Mama is mesmerized after seeing Chameli and soon faints due to the injury on his forehead. Indu shares her wish of visiting Singapore to Mukundi.

S01E596

Indumati keeps jumping around from here to there in happiness. Chukundi asks the reason for her happiness and she finally breaks the news of her going to Singapore with Mukundi.

Chameli tries to comfort Mamaji but does not get any response. Instead when Elija comforts him, he readily accepts it. Seeing this, Chameli gets upset and then Pappu gives her the best advice.

Chameli does not stop cying. Lallanji comes yelling that Chameli has left him helpless and that he cannot show his face to anyone. He gets upset as Chameli wrote that letter to Mamaji.

Chameli's stupid friend, Duniya, asks her to throw the plant again on Mamaji so that he gets his memory back. Everyone starts screaming for applying this philosophy without using brain.
